Installation, linking with SouverainCode, what leaves your computer and how to cut the link.

What is Archipel Desktop for?

It turns the folders on your computer into a document base where the SouverainCode agent can search for answers, with their sources, without your files leaving your machine.

How do I install it?

In SouverainCode, open Settings › Document base and download Archipel. One click starts one download; follow it with Ctrl+J. The installer isn’t signed yet, so Windows shows a SmartScreen warning: click More info, then Run anyway. You can compare the file’s SHA-256 fingerprint with the one shown in Settings.

How do I link it to my account?

In Settings › Document base, create a device token, then paste it into Archipel (SouverainCode button). The token is shown only once.

How do I add documents?

Drop a file into Archipel to add it, or a folder to have it followed: additions and changes are picked up automatically.

What leaves my computer?

Only a few passages useful for an answer, eight at most, for the time the model takes to answer. Nothing is kept on the server. Archipel logs every question it receives in a journal you can read. How the connector works gives the details.

My computer is off: what happens?

The agent tells you your device can’t be reached; it doesn’t answer from memory in place of your documents.

How do I cut the link?

Revoke the device in Settings › Document base. Archipel then receives no more questions.
